"The talk will cover the practice of money laundering and the Irish legislation pertinent to this practice. It also covers 'Money Muling' - what is a 'money mule'? How and why money mules are recruited. The role of the money mule in laundering illicit funds, and the implications of being a money mule and to what effect that can have later in life. As part of the presentation, a short video will be shown that gives an account from an ex-fraudster, on how he used to recruit Money Mules and an account, from a convicted Money Mule, on how they personally were recruited and why they regret it now. This presentation is aimed at educating students and young people about Money Muling and the serious impact it can have on the people involved in it." - Statement provided by Án Garda Síochána on request by Sharon McLaughlin
